I’m Dez!

I’m a lifestyle photographer based in Twain Harte, CA - but always itching to explore more of the world.

I combine my love of adventure with my desire to create authentic art. Switching between posed portraits and candid interactions. I love to capture images that are suffused with the soft golden glow of sunlight or showcase stunning scenic views. Honest exchanges between humans, however, might be my favorite natural thing of all.

During every photo shoot my top priority is always comfortability; to feel comfortable enough to be yourself on camera. I love to chat with you and plays games to help you relax around me. After a short while, it’s more like you’re spending time with an old friend. I love to make sure you always feel comfortable while capturing all the moments - big and small! It’s about more than just the photos, it’s about the experience behind them. Aside from prioritizing comfortability, I’m also known as the hype pal. No matter the session - couples, families, even newborns - you will hear me after every couple of shots shouting “OMG GIRL YESSS” to keep you feeling confident!

Random Things About Me!

• I worked at Hot Topic as a sales associate for 2 years; until February 2019 I left to become full time in photography!

• When I’m not taking photos or editing, you could catch me doing one of many hobbies such as: painting, weaving, playing board games, reading or watching tv with my loves.

• Jeremiah & I have two fur babies, Willow & Mac! On occasion, my little family tags along on a shoot if i need the extra help or if they just want to enjoy the scenery i’m heading to for the day.

• Aside from my hobbies, I am also learning to sew and cook!

• I PROUDLY identify as non-binary!

• I am a sucker for adventures! Growing up, my Grandpa would take my Mother, Brother and I on these incredible road trips. Some of which my favorite places he took us would include the Grand Canon, Death Valley, Yosemite, and all of Oregon.
